Pearl Jam - Ten (1991)

Yet another amazing debut album. This time it is by the Seattle grunge band Pearl Jam (formed in 1990). Ten is named after the jersey number of the basketball star Mookie Blaylock. The lyrics for the album come from Eddie Vedder and deal with depression, suicide, loneliness, murder, and some social concerns.

In 1991 Eddie Vedder took part in Temple Of The Dog project, where he provided backing vocals for a couple of songs and the vocals on Hunger Strike.

The first six songs are absolutely awesome and among my favorites. Jeremy is arguably the most famous Pearl Jam song, together with Even Flow, Alive and Once. Black, Garden and Garden are also very strong,

Here is the album on Spotify.
